A nurse will visit you at home to determine if you’re eligible for Medicaid-funded in-home care. You’ll find out how many weekly hours of care you can get.
You choose a caregiver: your daughter, son, relative, or friend. We come to your home to enroll you in the program.
You get ongoing care from a person who loves you. They get peace of mind because they’re getting paid for the care they give.
What is Family Caregiving?
Family Caregiving allows family members to care for their own family members. The family caregiver must live with the member/client. Whether you are the daughter, son, cousin, aunt, niece, nephew, or related by marriage, you may be eligible to care for your family member and receive a stipend for the care you provide to your loved one.
The overall goal is to keep individuals out of the nursing home and allow their family/relative caregivers to provide the care they know their family members need.

To qualify:

You must live with the family member you’re caring for and be willing to provide the 24/7 care that's needed; AND

​Be related biologically, such as a daughter, grandchild, cousin, uncle, etc. OR be related through marriage as a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, etc. (Please note that spouses of waiver participants or legal guardians are not eligible for compensation.)

Currently on the Medicaid Program; OR

​The individual is eligible for Medicaid — Our team can assist with the application, but they must meet the Family Caregiver Program eligibility for approved states.

NOTE: If your loved one is already on the program transferring to the Family Caregiver model is even simpler.
